2008 rules

Rules for Field Archery World Ranking.

All archers competing at an arrowhead tournament in principle qualify for the ranking.
  1. Only those archers that achieved the least 3 results will be final ranked (at the end of the year).
  2. Only final ranked archers are eligible for the awards.
  3. How arwards will be assigned is yet to be decided.
  4. Archers with less then 3 results are listed in the ranking with a P (provisional).
  5. Archers with less then 3 tournaments will be listed separately in the second section of the final ranking (without a ranking indication for the next year).
  6. For an archer with more then 3 results the 3 best results are taken into account.
  7. For archers with less then 3 results all results will be taken into account.
  8. Results are processed based on the result lists provided by the various organizations.
  9. If an organizers fails to send in the results list the results will NOT be taken into account.
  10. If no special status such as: Did not Start (DNS); Did not finish (DNF) or Disqualified (DSQ); Out of Competition (OOC); is indicated the result will be taken into account.
  11. A double arrowhead round will count for one result.
  12. Results from archers competing on only 1 of 2 days during a double arrowhead will not be taken into account.
  13. World Championships Field; Continental Championships Field and World Games will be taken into account for ranking results automatically.
  14. The results achieved during a WCF will always have a weight of 1.
  15. The results of the other major field tournaments will be calculated results as are all other results.
  16. Archers shooting under special (white posts etc…) conditions will not be taken into account.
  17. Classes with unknown indications (Students, Youngsters, Pupils, etc…) will not be taken into account.
  18. For Longbow only those archers with a Longbow indication in the result list will be taken into account (other classes mostly are listed under Traditional or something like that). The rules for Longbow (Yellow posts etc…) as set by FITA must be applied for the Longbow division.
  19. Results for the FAWR-ranking are calculated results based on the weight assigned to a tournament.
  20. The tournament weight is calculated based on a reference group.
  21. The calculated score will be displayed as being for a single day event based on a 360 score (24 units).
